was talking to a guy that says he use's a server to download and upload his files from hosting sites and that i should use one because it can increase my speed 100mb/s. what he didnt seem like he knew all the details and i actually just started talking to the guy today. so i was wondering if this was actually easier he said he doesn't pay for any hosting services like rapidshare, he just pays for his server. so would this be easier and is it safe to use this? thanks in advance.
Thats a very incomplete picture and wrong in places.
Basically if you have a server you could use remote desktop, to control the server and download files to it, which you could then copy to yourself using ftp from the server.
It does not circumvent the need for premium accounts.
thats what i was thinking but the guy was trying to make it sound so great. i was asking him how does he upload to multiple hosting sites and thats how we got on the subject. though my question never got answered really. i cant figure out the easiest way to upload to multiple servers without doing each one individually
